History
The Colorado Rockies are a very new team who are located in Denver, Colorado. Although they are a new team they are very advanced in their play of the game. Since 1993 they have reached the MLB postseason four times and even made it to the World Series Championship but got swept by The Red Sox. Throughout the years they wanted an MLB team but it never worked out. They dealt with people creating a team but then evaporating before a singular game, expansion teams, and so on. Over the years everyone agreed that the MLB was wanted in Denver so after many years they finally made it happen.
Even though they are a younger team they still have had star players such as Todd Helton and Dante Bichette, whose son is now in the league playing for the Toronto Blue Jays, Bo Bichette. In recent years they still have had great players with the famous Charlie Blackmon, Trevor Story, former Rockies player Nolan Arenado. As you may have noticed, Nolan Arenado now plays for the St. Louis Cardinals but this trade was widely known as one of the most confusing and possibly worst trades in the history of the Major Leagues. How this trade came to be, we still aren’t sure as fans but it is one that all of St. Louis was happy to see.
What also makes this franchise special and adds to the history is its famous Coors Field which is known for being a hitting ballpark in which many players can go yard on a daily basis. With the high altitude the ball seems to simply just fly out of the ballpark it is a popular place to play both in real life and in baseball video games. It also boasts one of the coolest billboards in all of sports.
